Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned Manchester – Belfast International as VS861P this afternoon after arriving as VS128 from New York JFK. The aircraft then operated VS161 Belfast International – Orlando.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP Montego Bay Rescue Mission.

Following the technical return of VS66 Montego Bay – London Gatwick to Montego Bay yesterday evening, Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned Manchester – Montego Bay as VS865P late afternoon in order to operate the delayed service as VS66A.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP VS76 London Heathrow Diversion.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP operating VS76 Orlando – Manchester (depart Orlando 29th January) diverted to London Heathrow this morning after Manchester was closed due to snow. The aircraft positioned London Heathrow – Manchester as VS76X during the afternoon then operated today’s delayed VS75 Manchester – Orlando.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP Positioning Flight.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned London Gatwick – Belfast International as VS861P this morning after arriving as VS16 from Orlando. The aircraft then operated VS161 Belfast International – Orlando.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 VS94 Dublin Medical Diversion.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP operating VS94 Cancun – London Gatwick (depart Cancun 20th January) diverted via Dublin this morning due to a medical emergency on board. After arrival at London Gatwick the aircraft positioned London Gatwick – Manchester as VS877P.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP Returns from Manchester Maintenance.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP, which has been under maintenance at Manchester since 11th December, positioned Manchester – London Gatwick this morning as VS878P. The aircraft has been repainted from Red Wrapped Rear into Billboard livery but this does not appear to be metallic.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP VS76 Gander Diversion.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP operating VS76 Orlando – Manchester (depart Orlando 7th November) diverted to Gander in the early hours of this morning. After around an hour on the ground the aircraft continued Gander – Manchester as VS76X. The diversion appears to have been medical.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP Las Vegas Technical Issue.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP operated VS43 London Gatwick – Las Vegas this morning, however the return VS44 was delayed overnight after boarding due to a technical issue involving the air conditioning packs. Passengers have been accommodated overnight.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned Belfast International – Glasgow as VS162P this morning after arriving as VS162 from Orlando. The aircraft then operated VS71 Glasgow – Orlando.

Following the technical issue at Cancun yesterday, Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned Manchester – Cancun this morning as VS93P in order to operate yesterday’s delayed VS94 Cancun – London Gatwick.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VLIP VS66 Turbulence Injuries.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP operating VS66 Montego Bay – London Gatwick (depart Montego Bay 13th November) encountered severe turbulence close to St Johns, Newfoundland causing injury to one flight crew member and three passengers. The aircraft continued to London Gatwick for a safe landing.

B747-400 G-VGAL Operates Delayed Las Vegas Service.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VGAL operated yesterday’s delayed VS43/VS44 London Gatwick – Las Vegas rotation this morning as VS43A/VS44A. Today’s scheduled rotation on the route was operated by sister G-VLIP.

B747-400 G-VLIP Positions to Manchester.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned London Gatwick – Manchester this morning as VS75P then took up service as VS75 Manchester – Orlando.

B747-400 G-VLIP Returns from Hong Kong Reconfiguration.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP, which departed for reconfiguration in Hong Kong on July 10th, departed Hong Kong this afternoon positioning to London Gatwick as VS812P. The aircraft becomes the third to feature the 14J/66W/375Y configuration.

B747-400 G-VLIP Departs for Hong Kong Reconfiguration.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP positioned London Gatwick – Hong Kong as VS811P this evening where it will become the third aircraft to undergo cabin refurbishments and reconfiguration to the 14J/66W/375Y layout.

G-VLIP Returns to Service.

Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP returned to service following yesterday’s technical issue operating today’s scheduled VS73 Manchester – Orlando. This means there were three Manchester – Orlando flights today:

Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP as VS73

Airbus A330-300 G-VSXY as VS75

Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS as VS73A. This was yesterday’s VS73 delayed by the G-VLIP technical issue.

G-VLIP Manchester Technical Issue.

Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP arrived into Manchester this morning as VS86 from Bridgetown Barbados however it’s next scheduled flight as VS73 Manchester – Orlando has been delayed overnight indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

Gatwick Inbounds Divert to Stansted.

High winds at London Gatwick caused  two inbound flights to divert via London Stansted this morning, each having had two attempts to land at London Gatwick.

The affected flights were VS16 Orlando – London Gatwick operated by Boeing 747-443 G-VGAL and VS44 Las Vegas – London Gatwick operated by sister G-VLIP.
