Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS operated VS153 London Heathrow – New York JFK this afternoon, however the return VS154 has been delayed overnight and the aircraft instead positioned New York JFK – Bridgetown after midnight as VS890P.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Returns from Xiamen Maintenance.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS, which has been under maintenance at Xiamen since 29th November, positioned Xiamen – London Heathrow this morning as VS832P. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 33J/48W/185Y to 31J/48W/185Y configuration with 1-2-1 seating in Business Class.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Returns from Gatwick Base.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS, which has been operating from London Gatwick since November 4th 2015, positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow as VS807P this morning after arriving as VS94 from St Lucia and Antigua, then entered service from London Heathrow operating VS21 London Heathrow – Washington.

Following the A330-300 technical issue at Bridgetown yesterday, Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick as VS808P this morning in order to operate the VS33/VS34 London Gatwick – Antigua rotation.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Returns from Zurich Maintenance.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS, which has been under maintenance at Zurich since 30th September, positioned Zurich – London Heathrow as VS822P this afternoon. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 59W/255Y to 33J/48W/185Y. This means all Virgin Atlantic A330-300s are now in Three Class 33J/48W/185Y configuration.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Positions to Zurich Maintenance.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS positioned Glasgow – Zurich as VS961P for maintenance this morning after arriving as VS72 from Orlando. The aircraft will be reconfigured at Zurich and thus yesterday’s VS72 Orlando – Glasgow was the last Virgin Atlantic service to be operated by an A330-300 in 59W/255Y configuration.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VGAL Positioning Flight.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VGAL positioned London Gatwick – Manchester as VS75P this morning in order to operate VS75 Manchester – Orlando. This was to replace A330-300 G-VKSS which arrived into Manchester as VS76 from Orlando this morning.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Returns from Orlando.

Following the bird strike it encountered departing Orlando on 20th January, causing it to return to Orlando, Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS operated Orlando – London Gatwick this evening as VS28P.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Continues from Shannon.

Following yesterday’s diversion to Shannon Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS continued Shannon – Manchester late this morning as VS76A. The aircraft then positioned Manchester – London Gatwick as VS176P.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS VS76 Shannon Diversion.

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS operating VS76 Orlando – Manchester (depart Orlando 3rd November) was to the west of Ireland when a loud bang was heard. Crew subsequently decided to divert to Shannon and later declared PAN due to handling problems. The aircraft was able to roll out safely. A fractured was later discovered on a spoiler.

Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS Returns to Service.

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS, which has been under maintenance at London Gatwick since 9th October, returned to service this morning positioning London Gatwick – Glasgow as VS71P in order to operate VS71 Glasgow – Orlando.

A330-300 G-VKSS Switches to Heathrow Base.

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow this evening as VS810P then operated the VS300/VS301 London Heathrow – Delhi rotation. The aircraft remains in Two Class 59W/255Y configuration.

A330-300 G-VKSS Positions from Manchester.

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS positioned Manchester – London Gatwick as VS76P this afternoon having arrived into Manchester as VS76P from Orlando.

Glasgow – Orlando Returns to A330-300 Operation.

Having been operated by an A340-600 last week and by Boeing 747-400s for some weeks prior to that the weekend VS71/VS72 Glasgow – Orlando rotations returned to Airbus A330-300 operation this weekend with G-VKSS positioning from London Gatwick as VS71P to operate the outbound VS71 with sister G-VSXY scheduled to operate the return VS72 after the aircraft are swapped at Orlando.

G-VLIP Returns to Service.

Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP returned to service following yesterday’s technical issue operating today’s scheduled VS73 Manchester – Orlando. This means there were three Manchester – Orlando flights today:

Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP as VS73

Airbus A330-300 G-VSXY as VS75

Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS as VS73A. This was yesterday’s VS73 delayed by the G-VLIP technical issue.

A330-300 G-VKSS Positions to Manchester for Orlando Rotation.

Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS positioned London Gatwick – Manchester this morning as VS809P in order to operate yesterday’s delayed VS73 Manchester – Orlando which used callsign VS73A. It will then operate yesterday’s VS74 Orlando – Manchester as VS74A.

G-VSXY Glasgow – London Gatwick Positioning Flight.

Airbus A330-300 G-VSXY positioned Glasgow – London Gatwick this morning as VS72P following its arrival into Glasgow as VS72 from Orlando.

For the next few weeks the Glasgow – Orlando operation will see an Airbus A330-200 position London Gatwick – Glasgow early on Saturday as VS71P. VS71/VS72 Glasgow – Orlando rotations will operate on Saturday and Sunday and then a further positioning flight Glasgow – London Gatwick takes place early on Monday morning.

The operating VS71 Glasgow – Orlando on Saturdays returns to the UK as VS76 Orlando – Manchester with the VS75 Manchester – Orlando aircraft operating the VS72 Orlando – Glasgow. Thus Glasgow sees both leisure Airbus A330-300s, G-VKSS and G-VSXY, each weekend.

G-VKSS Operates from Heathrow.

Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS positioned London Gatwick – London Heathrow today as VS807P and then operated the VS671/VS672 London Heathrow – Nairobi rotation.

G-VKSS Delivered to London Gatwick.

Airbus A330-300 G-VKSS was delivered from Zurich to London Gatwick today following cabin fit out. The aircraft is in 59W/255Y configuration for leisure routes from London Gatwick and Manchester.
