Following yesterday’s return of VS43 London Gatwick – Las Vegas to London Gatwick, the delayed flight was operated this morning by Boeing 747-41R G-VAST. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed VS44 Las Vegas – London Gatwick as VS44A.

Virgin Atlantic B747-400 G-VROM VS43 London Gatwick Technical Return.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VROM operating VS43 London Gatwick – Las Vegas stopped the climb at 32,000 ft over the North Devon coast due to issues with the main gear. The aircraft returned to London Gatwick to make two low passes over the runway for ground crew to get a visual on the gear then circled above The Downs and over Eastbourne before returning to London Gatwick for a safe landing. Passengers were disembarked via airstairs on the runway and bussed to the terminal.
