This is due to yesterday’s VS43 London Gatwick – Las Vegas operating 24 hours late meaning there is insufficient rested crew at Las Vegas.

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VROM operating VS43 London Gatwick – Las Vegas stopped the climb at 32,000 ft over the North Devon coast due to issues with the main gear. The aircraft returned to London Gatwick to make two low passes over the runway for ground crew to get a visual on the gear then circled above The Downs and over Eastbourne before returning to London Gatwick for a safe landing. Passengers were disembarked via airstairs on the runway and bussed to the terminal.

Boeing 747-443 G-VROM, which has been on lease to AeroSur of Bolivia since 5th November 2009, positioned Madrid – London Gatwick as RSU543P this evening still wearing AeroSur livery and carrying registration CP-2603.

Boeing 747-443 G-VROM departed London Gatwick today on lease to AeroSur of Bolivia. It will be used primarily on the Santa Cruz – Madrid route and will be registers CP-2603.
